Pirate and Princess Pops on a pirate ship

My little boy turns 5 on Saturday! Can't believe how those years have flown by......
Well he's decided he doesnt want a traditional cake, he wants pops and a boat for them to stand in... I've trained him well!!!
It's a bit wasteful but I have covered an oval shaped dummy with individual brown sugar paste as wood planks, made a flag using stripy paper, some Tala pirate candles and a wooden chopstick as a mast.... Looks quite effective and Thomas loves it... Just hope his friends do to

With my herbs in the background to give it a suburban feel.

Bunting cake pops

These have become a favourite of mine...A little bit Cath Kidston or perhaps the White Company styled..made with sugar sheets, which are of course edible.

Got the idea from a beautiful cake on the cover of a cake book by Zoe Clark...
